You can go fishing off Koh Samui. Just choose a tour that takes your fancy. The easiest way to discover the waters around the island is to go with a Thai captain who is familiar with the coastal waters. Safety and fun are the priorities. The Day Time Fishing Trip is for beginners, families and serious sorts, starting early morning and returning in the afternoon (7 am to 5 pm) for 1.500 baht per person (min. 4 people). Children (accompanied by an adult) under 12: get a 50% discount.
Fishing at Night gets our recommendation though as something extra special. It’s great fun for everyone, starting in the evening and returning in the morning (6 pm to 7 am) for 1.500 baht per person (min. 4 people). Children (accompanied by an adult) under 12 get a 50% discount. Pick up time is 5:00-05:30 pm at your hotel's reception, dinner time is 07:00 - 08:00 pm (rice or noodles) and you return to your hotel at 07:30-08:00 am. The tour includes use of the equipment, live bait, Thai boat meal (rice or noodles) drinking water, tropical fruits, pick up from/to your hotel… You only have to take your own towel and sun cream.

DOLPHIN TOUR

Samui Dolphin Tour

Important:

• Not for very overweight or handicapped guests.
• Bring sun protection, towel, swimwear and camera.
• Suitable shoes (Flip flops are not very good for caves!)
• All tours start after pickup from the hotel with a nice drive through the south of Koh Samui.

Grandfather & Grandmother Rocks (Hin Ta Hin Yai) Mother nature indeed has a sense of humor!

These rocks at the south of Lamai beach have been shaped over millions of years by wind and water to resemble human reproductive organs. They are set on a beautiful coast lined with gigantic rocks that form inviting shallow pools in between. Because of their shape, the rocks are seen as strong fertility symbols and said to be the origin of the 'Mui' peoples. Apparently, couples that are trying to have a baby should come here for positive vibrations & good energy that will help the woman conceive. In local legend the rocks apparently appeared after two lovers drowned themselves in the sea because their families disapproved of their relationship.

Magical Garden or the Secret Garden

The garden is located in the hills of Samui about 550 meter above sea level and the only way to get there is through the jungle, rivers and mountains by a 4X4 off road vehicles. The Garden was built in 1976 by a local fruit farmer, Nim Thongsuk. He was 77 years old when he started his project. It is said that he built the garden all by himself. The garden is full of statues of animals, gods and demons. The hill-top setting and the tranquil river flowing through it give the garden a very soothing and mystical feeling.

Mountain-top Viewpoint
There is an unmarked and unpaved road going from Lamai over the island to Bang Po, Maenam and Nathon which passes several viewpoints, of which the most beautiful and breathtaking one is Yaod Khao. This viewpoint can only be reached by a professional, all-terrain 4x4 vehicle. This viewpoint is located on the highest point of Samui at 650 meters above sea level. From here you can see Ko Samui from north to south, surrounding islands, spectacular views of the National Marine Park to the west and the mainland to the south.

Namuang Waterfalls so called because the rock face is purple.

The waterfalls are located 10 km south from Nathon at Ban Thurian. There are 2 waterfalls. Namuang I is 18 meters high and can be reached by vehicle. Namuang II is Koh Samui’s most beautiful, largest and most impressive waterfall, with stunning rock formations and verdant surroundings bathed in a brilliant natural light. Namuang II consist of two separate falls, one with a 20m drop and a good pool for swimming and the other with an 80m drop. The waterfall can be reached only by a short and interesting jungle walk on foot or on top of a friendly elephant.

Mummified Monk (at Wat Khunaram)
The only mummy we have ever seen that wears sunglasses!
Luong Por Daeng was a highly respected monk when he died over 35 years ago. A native of Koh Samui he enjoyed a long prosperous family life until he was 50 years old when he decides to devote the last part of his life to the monk hood. After being ordain in 1944, he became renown for his meditation practice for about 20 years. He was also able to foresee his own death in1973 when he was 79 years old. Today, he can still be seen in the exact same meditative position he was in when he died.

Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai)

This temple is the home of Koh Samui's most famous landmark: the Big Buddha. Most visitors come to marvel at the sheer size and beauty of this remarkable statue at some point during their holiday. Visible from several kilometers away and even from the air or boat when arriving on or leaving the island, the 12 meter tall golden image stands proud. Entering the temple, you first come to a large courtyard with a dragon stairway on the other side. The stairs lead you up to the second floor on which the Buddha image sits. From the here you see some great views of Koh Samui north long beach.

Elephant Trekking
The best part of our Jungle Safari! Some of the island's dense jungle can only be accessed by elephant. Their feet are specially adapted for jungle surfaces, on which they are ever so sure-footed, so sit back and enjoy the silent ride. Standard treks last for 30 minutes, but longer trips can be arranged upon request. Our elephant trekking will take you through the Samui jungle on the way to the waterfall. From the back of the elephant you can enjoy the scenery and see some of the local wildlife. You'll also have a photograph opportunity with an elephant to commemorate the occasion, but getting an elephant to smile is something we still working on!

On Samui there are three popular places to do elephant trekking One located just before Namuang waterfall 1 where you will trek most of the time on the paved road to and from the small waterfall.  Second located next to Big-C shopping center and would be fun if they let you ride into the shopping center.  We selected to do elephant trekking at Namuang waterfall 2 where the scenery is interesting and you tracking along the waterfall most of the way.

Monkey Show On Samui, the monkey undoubtedly qualifies as man's best friend. This isn't surprising, since for centuries the people have trained monkeys to do the hardest part of the harvest, climbing to the trees to pick ripe coconut. Koh Samui is synonymous with coconut trees - there are literally plantations all over the island and until the advent of tourism, coconuts represented the main industry here, so these industrious little animals were greatly prized.

Crocodile Show: The crocodile show is a lot of fun. The crocodile trainers show you these prehistoric beasts in and out of the pool. The highlight of the show is when a volunteer puts his head into the open mouth of a crocodile.

Samui Sea Kayaking & Snorkeling at Angthong Marine Park

Ang Thong National Marine Park is made up of 42 islands featuring lime stone massifs, tropical rainforests and deserted beaches. This fascinating group of islands, within sight of Koh Samui to the north and west, is geographically different from the other islands in the region. The Ang Thong islands rise from the sea as dramatic walls of rock soaring hundreds of meters high. Besides the many small coves and beautiful beaches, erosion has shaped some interesting formations. Particular features are Mae Ko (a beautiful beach) and Thale Nai (an emerald saltwater lake) both found on Koh Mae Ko. Koh Sam Sao has a coral reef and a huge rock arch as well as a hill providing great views of the surrounding area. There is a considerable amount of wildlife inhabiting the islands including the Asian long tailed monkey (Langur), hair nosed otters, pacific reef egrets, white bellied sea eagles, ashy drongos, tortoises, sea turtles, lizards and pythons. The surrounding sea is also the major spawning ground for the short bodied mackerel, a tasty Thai delicacy. Snorkeling, walking and swimming are the most popular attractions of the region. The best time to visit this archipelago is late March to October when visibility is at its best.

Sea Kayaking & Snorkeling at Angthong Marine Park
When you arrive at the calm waters of the Marine Park, your guide gives a briefing on the day’s program and introduces a fleet of the world's number one sit-on-top kayak, the Malibu Two.
And then off you go to discover magical caves and bizarre rock formations amongst the dozens of dreamy deserted beaches. Samui Snorkeling Trip at Koh Tao and Koh Nangyuan

Koh Tao:

Koh Tao Island is mainly composed of 21 kilometers of rocks and coconut trees and surrounded by shallow beaches. It is located approx. 45 kilometers north of Koh Samui and 40 kilometers east of Chumporn

This small tropical paradise nestled amid the deep blue sea is encircled by miles of vibrant coral reefs and pinnacles where a wide variety of tropical reef fish and some larger pelagic and deep-water fish such as manta rays and whale sharks can also be found. Koh Tao is easily considered the best snorkeling location in the Gulf of Thailand. By visiting the different beaches and lagoons around Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan you will surely be amazed with the crystal clear water snorkeling and un-spoilt beaches this tropical paradise has to offer.

Koh Nangyuan:

Koh Nang Yuan is a smaller island very close to Koh Tao. Again it is famous for its breathtaking dive locations and its incredible snorkeling, try hand feeding the vast array of tropical fish, you just might me pleasantly surprised.



Koh Tao/Koh Nangyuan are rated as the two ideal sites for diving and snorkeling in the Gulf of Thailand,
Snorkeling around Koh Samui is great fun. The waters are warm all year round and the marine life is colorful and varied. You can snorkel off the shores of your hotel – there are some nice spots between Chaweng and Lamai, or you can head off on a full day snorkeling tour.














The Koh Tao snorkeling trip is very popular. You’ll be picked up from your hotel in the morning, taken to the nearest pier, enjoy breakfast on board – usually a croissant and coffee – not too heavy, and then more off the coast of the idyllic smaller island, Koh Nang Yuan. Here you can begin your day’s snorkeling, and then go for a walk on the sands of the island beach. Then it’s onward to Koh Tao, a largest island, and a magnificent spot for both snorkeling and diving. You’ll have lunch on board before leaping into the blue water and meeting Nemo himself. You’ll be back before early evening to regain your land legs before hitting the town.
